PERSONAL EPHEMERA (c.1911-c.1973)
A large quantity of personal ephemera, to include (a) items relating to Mollino's childhood education; as follows, childhood sketchbook c.1910-11, including approx 60 crayon and pencil drawings, and needle and thread pictures, subjects to include airship, aeroplane, steam train, automobile, bicycle, a mason's trowell and an anvil etc, a folding paper maquette of a bed, and a mathematics notebook, c.1913, and another notebook, together with approx 29 letters, some written to Eugenio Mollino, marked Collegio San Giuseppe, Turin, c.1923-24; (b) a quantity of family photographs or postcards, to include 3 photographs of Mollino as a child, various family group photographs and photographs of family pets, photographs of the Mollino residence, Villa Rivoli, and an assortment of various postcards etc; (c) approx 37 documents, c.1911-41, relating to Mollino's parents, Eugenio and Iolanda, mainly identity cards or passes, to include train travel cards, bicycle permits, identity cards as alpine engineer and as architect, various professional fascist union cards, two leather-bound passes, for Iolanda and Eugenio, for the 'Esposizione Internazionale', Turin, 1911, etc, and (d) a quantity of personal material, to include 3 joined contact prints of Mollino in Barcelona, a self-portrait contact print, a photograph of Mollino in alpine attire, an unsigned, unmarked photograph of an unknown woman in bathing costume, another contact print, a quantity of assorted notes and letters, and Mollino's final passport, issued 18 March 1965, bearing immigration stamps for travel to France, Sweden, Canada, the US, Greece, Poland, Great Britain, Thailand, Hong Kong etc. (4)
