A collection of internal studio documents relating to the censorship issue. The Studio fought bitterly to have the censor code amended to include the line "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." The Studio maintained that ...the one bit of dialogue which forever establishes the future relationship between Scarlett and Rhett. The Censor Board feared that it would open the flood-gates to vulgar language being used in film.
