With its original Lawton body, this Silver Ghost could fairly be called the epitome of Edwardian formal coachwork. Its elaborate marquetry in the front compartment roof, brocade and button-back interior with sash pulls on the division window and side glasses, the precisely-applied exterior canework and the German Silver accents and crystal bud vases all mark this motorcar as a first-cabin production. This was at the request of 2013's original owner, E.H. Cunard of the famed Cunard Steamship firm, who was surely well versed in first class appointments.
A nickel-plated car, it is equipped with all the proper accoutrements for a Rolls-Royce of the period including Boa Constrictor horn, double Elliott speedometer, a complete set of Lucas lamps complete with a correct switching unit containing ampere guage and volt meter, firewall ventilators, tilting windscreen, rear view mirrors, a luggage rack and a full set of spring gaiters.

This car has been inspected and confirmed as totally authentic with respect to both chassis and coachwork by an acknowledged Silver Ghost expert in the UK. Original factory records further confirm the car's originality and that this is the twentieth oldest surviving Ghost with its original body.

It was acquired by Mr. Lutgert in 1989 in the attractively-restored condition in which it is seen today.
