Engine: six cylinder, 7,248cc, side valves, 48bhp at 1000rpm; Gearbox: three speed manual; Brakes: two wheel drum; Suspension: front, semi-elliptic leaf springs; rear, three quarter elliptic. Right hand drive.
Crafted in precisely the same style as an original Alford and Alder tourer, this attractive Ghost has all brightwork in brass including correct Lucas Duplex headlamps, Boa Constrictor bulb horn and double Elliott speedometer. Red striping accentuates the coachwork.
It rides on Rudge-Whitworth wire wheels and is equipped with a tilting windscreen, a full set of spring gaiters and a complete set of engine and transmission pans.
Chassis 1671 was found in Australia and brought to the United States in 1968. At the time it was carrying a late Australian-built body. It passed through the hands of the late Rick Carroll who commissioned Graber & Sons to replicate the Alford and Alder body on the car today. A thorough chassis restoration was carried out by Silver Ghost expert Frank Cooke of Massachusetts and today the car is ready for touring activities anywhere in the world. In 1989 it received a National First Place Junior award from the Antique Automobile Club of America.
