Modelled as a seated tigress and her cub, the tigress balanced on the two back legs and right leg and placing the left front leg protectively on the back of the cub, scratching the chin with one foot, the tail of the tigress curved around the left haunch and back and the tail of the cub curved under the body, ending to rest on top of the front feet, details of the tiger stripes and hair etched and partially stained black, himotoshi holes through base and one side, pupils of the eyes inlaid in amber, signed on the underside of the right leg of the tigress--1 1/2 in. (8 cm.) high
