Modelled in the form of a ronin, covered by a straw cloak and hat crouched on his hand and feet, ready to spring up and one hand clasped around the hilt of the sword laid at his side, details of the cloak carefully rendered with short chisel strokes, feet well articulated on the base, one almost completely modelled and recessed in the figure, himotoshi on underside, unsigned--2 1/2 in. (5.5 cm.) long
