A MEISSEN ARMORIAL SAUCE-TUREEN AND COVER FROM THE JUBILEE BANQUET SERVICE
CIRCA 1860, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK

The shaped-oval dome cover with crown on a cushion finial held by two putti in cloaks above pierced panels and appled strapwork cartouches with the arms of Saxony and Poland, the rim with puce landscape panels and applied cartouches painted with figures, the bowl with female bust handles joined by drapery and floral swags held by seated putti and painted with oval cartouches of figures in landscapes and with pierced panelled sides on scroll feet
