A FRENCH SILVER FIVE-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE WITH TRAY**
Mark of Charles-Nicolas Odiot, Paris, circa 1840
Comprising a kettle on stand with burner, a coffee pot, teapot, open sugar bowl and cream jug, each on four openwork scroll feet, the bulbous body chased with scrolls, rocaille and diaperwork against a matte ground, with dolphin scroll spout and leaf-clad handle, the hinged cover surmounted by a flower finial, the shaped oval tray similarly decorated, with two bracket handles, each engraved with a coronet and coat-of-arms, marked under bases, on shoulders, covers, and finials, also with Continental control marks, also stamped ODIOT A PARIS
The kettle on stand 16¼in. (42cm.) high, the tray 30½in. (77.5cm.) long over handles; 393oz. (12267gr.) gross weight (6)
