Oval, the cover inset with an enamel plaque of "le Coiffeur", featuring a woman seated reading a book, while a child releases a bird from its cage, the spandrels, base and side panels painted with royal blue enamel on engine-turned ground, with red, green and white enameled leaf and berry borders on a sablé ground, the sides panels divided by enamel columns with berried swags, also marked with charge and discharge of Jean-Baptiste Fouache, the interior with paper label COLLECTION de Monsieur le BARON HENRI DE ROTHSCHILD F2/9
