the silver plaque marked Fabergé and with the workmaster's mark of Alfred Tilleman, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917, the bronze plaque marked Henri Varenne and dated 1907
Each of arched rectangular form, the silver plaque chased and engraved in relief with profiles of the two Nobel brothers flanking a map of the area around Baku with an inscription in Russian commemorating twenty-five years of the Nobel Brothers Company, the reverse with a relief of an alegorical female figure holding aloft a burning lamp, with the oil wells and camels in the background, marked on rim; the bronze plaque with portrait medalions of the four Nobel brothers against a background of oil wells with an inscription in French commemorating 'milliard de pouds de naphte extrait', the reverse with a nude female figure holding aloft a flaming lamp with a cherub by her feet, beside a shrine with pinnacles of flame and further figures bowed in homage, the oil wells behind with a rising sun on the horizon and inscribed in Latin, marked on both sides, both in original fitted leather cases, the interior covers stamped with the Imperial warrant and in Russian 'Faberge St.Petersburg Moscow, Odessa' and 'K.Faberge Moscow St. Petersburg, Odessa'
