The Yingguangtang tie was engraved by Ye Ke (1183-1234), grandson of Yue Fei, in the Jiading era of the Northern Song dynasty (1208-1223). The famous Ming dynasty collector Fan Dace stated in his book Beitie jizeng (Rubbings Seen and Researched by the Author), that Feng Fang (16th century) was able to get one volume of this rubbing from the Yuan family, but did not know where the remaining volume was. By the late Ming dynasty it was already rare. From the late Qing dynasty until modern times the only edition available has been a reproduction by Xu Weiren, which was made from this very set. (2)
