Set with an asscher-cut fancy dark gray-yellowish green diamond weighing 5.03 carats, to the pierced diamond-set gallery and shoulders, size 5½ (unmounted in illustration)

With certificate 11602120 dated 26/7/01 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamond is fancy dark gray-yellowish green, natural colour with the comment: The color of this stone changes temporarily when gently heated, or when left in darkness for a period of time and is known in the trade as "CHAMELEON".

With certificate 0108012 dated 8/8/01 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the diamond is FANCY GREYISH YELLOW-GREEN and changes to FANCY INTENSE BROWNISH-YELLOW temporarily when heated, or when left in darkness for a period of time and is known in the trade as "CHAMELEON" with an appendix stating that this 5.03 ct Chameleon diamond described in the above mentioned GGL Diamond Report is a fine example of this variety of naturally coloured diamond. This diamond displays a distinct colour change from a saturated fancy greyish yellow-green in daylight, to a fancy intense brownish-yellow. This degree of colour change observed in a diamond exceeding 5 ct is rare.
