Compare with two very similar domed boxes with fluted sides, the first in the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, illustrated in Hai-Wai Yi-Chen: Chinese Art in Overseas Collections - Lacquerware, National Palace Museum, Taibei, 1987, pl. 160; and the other in the Tianjin Museum, illustrated in Zhongguo Qiqi Quanji, vol. 6, Qing, 1993, no. 220.
