The tri-lobed censer is carved in low relief with three taotie masks above each of the cabriole legs emerging from bats, set with a pair of loop handles suspending loose rings and supporting two crouching mythical beasts carved in the round, the domed cover is decorated with further taotie motifs and three recumbent rams around the knop finial carved as a yinyang symbol encircled with swirling clouds, the semi-translucent white material with celadon inclusions
