A FINE AND RARE ARCHAISTIC YELLOW JADE PLAQUE
MING/QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY OR EARLIER
After a Warring States prototype, the plaque is well carved in openwork with a central shield-shaped crest centred by an oval aperture, incised with scrolls, and flanked by a chilong and a phoenix, the stone of a pale yellowish-green tone with areas of russet inclusions
