LATE MING/EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY

The compressed globular censer stands on three truncated conical supports and is cast on the flaring rim with a pair of wide upright loop handles, the golden-brown metal dappled with gilt splashes of varying sizes, the base cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark within a rectangle, the reticulated wood cover with a white jade finial carved as a boy
