A RARE PAINTED CIZHOU 'DOUBLE FISH' PILLOW
SONG/JIN DYNASTY (960-1234)

Of hexagonal section, covered overall with a creamy white glaze and boldly painted on top in brown with two carp swimming amidst aquatic plants below two butterflies hovering above, all within a brown double-line border along the edge (glaze flakes to rims, fine hairlines to body)
