Circa 1740, one stamped I. Avisse
Covered in mid-18th century Beauvais tapestry woven with peonies on a cream silk ground, the channelled frame carved with floral sprays, the scrolled, channelled cabriole arms above a waved seat-rail centered by flowerhead trails, on foliate-headed channelled cabriole legs with scrolled foliate feet, with stamped inventory number '3079' with typed collection label Collection André Meyer/Paris 1970 and B19B, with indistinct blue chalk inscription (2)
