A SET OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY, SATINWOOD AND POLYCHROME PAINTED DINING CHAIRS
Two armchairs and six side chairs late 18th century, four side chairs of a later date
Comprising two armchairs and ten side chairs, each carved crest with a central urn flanked by rams' heads holding bellflower swags above a pierced splat with a central painted panel, the sides carved with bellflowers, above dark cream damask covered seats on square chanelled bead-carved legs joined by an H-stretcher (9)

These chairs are identical to a single chair in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (no. 510-1907) illustrated in English Chairs, 2nd impression, London, 1977, fig. 102.
