A PAIR OF LATE GEORGE III BLACK AND GILT DECORATED OPEN ARMCHAIRS
Circa 1795
Each with a tablet centered toprail painted en grisaille with putti, between turned finials and above an interlaced lozenge-shaped splat, flanked by foliate-capped fluted columnar supports, with conforming stiles and downswept arms on spirally-fluted baluster supports with bowed upholstered seat on spirally-fluted tapered legs, previously with supporting blocks to the rails, redecorated (2)
