A copy of the original bill of sale from the auction of 18 May 1933 accompanies the present Lot.

The White Bedroom at Hous'hill was one of Mackintosh's last white rooms. The black chairs stood in stark contrast to the decor of the room. The design of the chair is subtle and requires close examination to fully appreciate details such as the gap between the seat or the direct mirroring of the front and back upright stretchers.
