A SMALL PAINTED BUFF POTTERY FIGURE OF A FEMALE DANCER
TANG DYNASTY

Shown with body swayed deeply to one side creating a graceful curve counterbalanced by the position of her arms encased within the long, narrow sleeves which conceal her hands, the scarf draped across her bodice tied in a knot in back below the high waist of her red-striped skirt, her face molded and painted with delicate features and her hair drawn up and back into a crescent, traces of red, black and pale green pigment (small chips)
