Carved seated in vajrasana with hands held in bhumisparsamudra on a waisted rectangular plinth carved with a recessed frieze of winged figures flanking a central figure of Buddha, wearing loose-fitting robes with cross-hatched borders falling in soft folds around the knees and over the base, his robe open at the chest revealing a single-strand necklace, the oval face with benign expression flanked by pendulous ear lobes below a tight cap of curls with rounded usnisa, the softly polished white stone of even, grayish-white tone with faint russet mottling at the back corner
