A RARE DATED MUGHAL GLASS TALISMAN IN FITTED SILVER CASE
DATED HIJRA YEAR 977, CORRESPONDING TO 1588-89, AND PROBABLY OF THE PERIOD
Of architectural shape, both of the flat sides finely incised with five bands of Koranic inscription in cursive script separated by narrow bands, with an outer border of foliate scroll on one side, the bottom edge with the date and a further inscription, pierced horizontally for stringing at the top (two small chips)
2in. (5cm.) wide, fitted silver case
