A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND MOLDED ROULEAU VASES
LATE QING DYNASTY

Each molded in high relief with a mixture of 'antiques', Buddhistic and Daoist symbols, along with fruit, tea vessels and finely decorated vases and jardinières of differing shapes and colors, from which emerge flowering branches, including pomegranate, prunus, lotus, peony and narcissus, all against a bright yellow ground, with a stylized floral band at the gilded mouth rim, the interior of the dished rim painted with three floral sprays (gilding slightly rubbed, some wear and repainting to enamel at rim)
