CHENGHUA MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE, KANGXI

Of slender pear shape, painted on the lower third of the body with breaking waves and rockwork centered by prunus blossoms, the gently slanting shoulder applied with an aubergine-glazed chilong, a faint halo of aubergine glaze visible in the white glaze around the chilong (restoration to head of the chilong)
