A SMALL MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID BLACK LACQUER BOX AND COVER
18TH CENTURY

The flat top decorated with a dense pattern of a central, leafy lotus spray surrounded by four demi-lotus sprays facing inward from the outer dogtooth border, the sides encircled by continuous bands of lotus scroll, with a single, small chrysanthemum blossom in the center of the base and the interior of the box and cover (minor loss of inlay)
