FIRST EDITION of the author's rare first book, comprising poems written when she was between twelve and sixteen years of age, and printed at the private press of her grandfather, Gaetano Polidori, when she was seventeen. Copies are known to exist in unlettered cloth wrappers (as this), in lettered cloth boards, and in unbound gatherings; leaf 74 (pp. 55-56) is a cancel as in almost all recorded copies.
