A nine page letter (on seven sheets) written by Ty Cobb on May 5, 1955 in which he discusses his feelings about early baseball and the players of today. He mentions Ruth, Di Maggio, Williams, Musial and Rizzuto and discusses the way they could have been better. Cobb feels the focus of the game has changed since his playing days and laments about the attitude of modern players. A major letter of one of the greatest players of all time with full baseball content. In green ink on his personal letterhead with small punch holes on left.
