The original corporate record book of the Boston Red Sox with a label on the cover stating Boston America League Baseball Club-Record Book No.1 The early binder contains the original records of the Red Sox including; a carbon copy of the original certificate of incorporation; filed August 10, 1901 (one of the original stockholders was James J. Collins); the by laws of the company; Corporate annual and other meetings from each year from 1911 through 1916; (including 1912, their greatest year and 1915, Ruth's first year) Proxy's, amendments, Dividends, stock transfers and financial reports, multiple signatures of Joseph C Pettetier, Charles H Taylor, Robert B. McRoy, John R. Taylor (President), Joseph J Lannin and Harry Frayzee (subsequent president and owner.) The last document in the book is the special meeting of stockholders on Dec. 16, 1916 during which the team was sold to Harry H. Frayzee and Hugh J Ward. The book represents the complete corporate history of the club for six years. Historic and important baseball archives. The binder is in very good condition. The pages are in overall excellent condition.
