Rocca treated the present subject on a number of occasions, including that in the Accademia di San Luca, Rome. A further version in The John and Mable Ringling Museum, Sarasota, Florida, Inv. no. SN 167, is datable to circa 1715-20 (see P. Tomari, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, 1976, no. 147, p.139).
