6½in. (16.5cm.) high (2)

Lot Essay

No tureen modelled as polyanthus appears to be recorded, although a rare pair of dishes 8 5/8in. diam., a dish 10 1/2in. diam. and a forth 11 1/16in. diam. have recently appeared at auction in New York. It is possible that one of the larger dishes was conceived as the stand to the present tureen and cover.
