A late 19th century bronze group of St. Francis of Assisi, shown seated and addressing the birds and beasts, his hair and beard unkempt, his eyesight failing and wearing a girdle tied about the waist with the three knots, the circular base signed Elischer and numbered 85/100, on a black and pink veined marble base -- 9½in. high.
