CIRCA 1775, BLUE CRESCENT MARKS
Finely painted in a variation on the 'Lord Henry Thynne' pattern with a landscape medallion within a turquoise husk surround, the rim with scattered clusters of ripe fruit and flowers, the edge with a blue band gilt with chain, comprising:
A teapot and cover, cover cracked--5½in. (13.9cm.) high
A sugar-bowl and cover--5in. (12.7cm.) high
A hot-milk jug and cover, body cracked--5¼in. (13.3cm.) high
An oviform tea-cannister and cover--6¾in. (17.2cm.) high
A waste-bowl--6½in. (16.5cm.) diam.
A spoon tray--6¼in. (15.9cm.) long
Two cake plates, one broken and restored--8¼in. (21cm.) diam.
