A William IV compressed melon-fluted teapot and matching gilt-lined cream jug, each on shell and scroll feet and with chased floral and foliate decoration, the teapot with a leaf-capped and chased fluted rising curved spout, foliate and berry-decorated scroll handle and domed hinged cover with melon finial, each engraved with a Latin motto and also engraved: "Presented to John Robinson Esq. by the Miners and Workmen of Derwent as a testimony of their esteem, 2nd Jany. 1830", Messrs.
