A CHARLES I STUMPWORK AND SILK-EMBROIDERED TABLE CABINET

The rectangular hinged top with well over canted sides, also hinged to reveal a dressing mirror and fitted interior for writing, above a pair of cabinet doors each with a nobleman and his wife beneath a canopy, opening to three short and one long drawer beneath a false drawer revealing secret drawers and inscribed in ink 'Worked by M. Inglis 1630', decorated allover with scrolling blossoms, animals and figures within metallic thread borders 13in. (33cm.) high, 10in. (25cm.) wide
