A Victorian mahogany eight-bell chiming mantel clock, the drum-shaped case flanked by carved scrolls, on rectangular base, the brass dial with raised silvered chapter-ring, Roman numerals and matted centre with blued steel trefoil hands (minute hand lacking), the massive three train fusee movement chiming the quarters on eight bells, a bevel drive to the hammers under the movement and striking the hours on a gong, the heavy pendulum with fine regulation -- 28in. wide, 18in. high.
