A SILVER TEAPOT, maker's mark of George B. Sharp, circa 1850, retailed by Bailey & Co., Chestnut St. Phila., in the George III taste, urn form on oval pedestal base, two sides with wrigglework shield form cartouche, one monogrammed, enclosed by foliate swags, above with wrigglework arcade each enclosing stylized flowerhead and foliage, with conforming engraving above, with slightly waisted shoulder, with loop handle and swan's neck spout, the hinged waisted, then low domed cover topped by covered urn finial, all with applied beaded moldings--11¾in. (29.8cm.) high, gross weight 30oz.
