A SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, no. 410, circa 1865, comprising coffee pot, two teapots, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and two T form handled waste bowl, each sharply tapering cylindrical with tucked in base, on rim foot, the lower body applied with band of Vitruvian waves, two sides with waisted rectangular cartouche, one initialled H, the remainder flat chased with broad frieze of coiling flowering foliage, bellflowers and strapwork, on finely matted ground, the pots with angular handle, part engraved highly upraised spout, the hinged domed cover flat chased with geometric motifs and surmounted by ball finial--the coffee pot 8¾in. (22.2cm.) high, gross weight 98oz. (6)
