A SILVER SPOUTED TANKARD, maker's mark of William Cowell, Sr., Boston, 1710-1736, with later added spout, slightly tapering cylindrical on reeded foot rim, with partly covered squat spout, (perforated in interior of tankard for spout), the tubular scroll handle engraved with initials and with molded drop, topped by knurled scroll thumbpiece, with hinged flat topped molded cover with shaped lip --7¼in. high, 24.5oz.
