A Nishapur brown and yellow glazed deep conical bowl painted with dense scrolling foliage around a stylised flowerhead to the interior within bands of stylised calligraphy -- 9in. diam; and a lustre glazed tapering cylindrical vase painted with equestrian figures between bands of foliage -- 7in. high, both circa 10th Century.
