A GEORGE VI SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON A TWO HANDLED SILVER PLATED TRAY, maker's mark of William Adams Ltd., Birmingham, 1940, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, baluster coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each partly fluted compressed oval, on four bun feet, the pots with everted collar, wood loop handle, partly fluted scroll spout, the hinged partly domed and fluted cover topped by fluted oval button finial, the kettle on twice chained oval stand raised on four fluted tapering supports--kettle on stand over part wood swing handle 14¾in. (37.4cm.) high, the rounded rectangular tray with dentilated border, with two cut outs for handles, with applied reeded rim--maker's mark of Gorham--length over handles 27¼in. (69.2cm.), the silver gross weight 133oz. (7)
