An oak nine-tube chiming longcase clock, hood with flat top, three-quarter barley-twist columns, plain trunk, rectangular shaped door with carved border, lenticle below with carved surround, plinth with carved panel, square brass dial with cherub spandrels, raised silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions and inner quarter hour ring, matted centre with raised silvered seconds ring below the twelve, signed on a silvered plaque J. Howell & Co. Ltd., Cardiff, silvered plaque above the twelve for Silent Westminster and Whittington, the three train movement striking the quarters on eight tubes and the hours on a ninth, with three weights and pendulum -- 85in. high.
