A Royal Doulton 'Chang' vase, of gently waisted cylindrical form with inverted rim, flanked on either side by long pierced lug handles, painted with blue starbursts on a mottled red and yellow ground, the pattern partially obscured by thick crackled overglaze dripping down from the rim, in shades of yellow red and white, painted factory mark, signed Noke and Harry Nixon monogram -- 9¼in. high
