An orphrey, of cruciform shape worked on linen, with Christ on the cross attended by two Angels and with God the Father above, the Centurian draining the Preicous Blood and Mary Magdalen at the foot of the Cross grieving with St John the Divine, the whole worked in coloured silks against a ground worked in silver thread--48in x 21in., perhaps South German, circa 1400
