Lot Essay

Tim Bobbin (1708-1786), born as John Collier, was a satirical writer, painter, draughtsman and engraver of cariactures. In 1746 he published his "View of the Lancashire Dialect"; his main visual work is "The Human Passions Delineated" 1773.
