A GEORGE III SILVER CAKE BASKET, maker's mark of Emick Romer, London, 1762, maker's mark on handle, maker's mark partly pierced through on the body, deep oval, on openwork supports with rocaille scroll apron between, the ground engraved with coat of arms and motto within rocaille and flowering foliate surround, the spreading sides wtih everted border, with twelve variously geometrically pierced panels divided by beaded flute, the border quartered by applied rocaille reserve, with foliate and corded rim, with partly pierced swing handle--15in.
