A WATERCOLOR AND INK ILLUSTRATED SHIP'S LOG, dated August - 12 September 1785,entitled "Remarks & Occurrances on board H.M. Hebe, the Honble. John Leveson Gower Commanding., unsigned Book Ye. IInd." 21 pages, 113 x 93 mm., neatly sewn in vellum-backed paper wrappers, upper cover labeled in ink "Hebe 1785." Written in ink in a tiny hand, illustrated with four full-page and one large folding watercolor drawings of coastal scenes, and castles from the sea, the foldout measuring 112 x 360 mm. showing a flotilla of eight fully-rigged sailing vessels, pages lightly browned at gutter margins, folding watercolor torn vertically into two sections (without signifigant loss), wrappers soiled and rubbed.
