An early Victorian gilt-lined compressed pear-shaped cream jug on crouching figure feet and with a mask spout, shell and scroll rim and bark-textured handle applied with a drunken figure, the body cast, chased and applied with peasant figures in the style of Tenniers, the underside with two later presentation inscriptions, maker's mark indistinct, London 1843 - overall length 6¼in., 16.75oz.
