An ivory netsuke carved as a wicker hamper from the story Shibakiri Suzume or the 'Tongue-cut-sparrow', containing a tiny figure of the kind old man being served sweatmeats and sake by a sparrow visible through an opening in the side, the cover removable -- 1½.in.long, signed Yoshiyuki on a red lacquer tablet.
